Zambia ICT College  is now a CISCO Academy

Picture
The African Advanced Level Telecommunication Institution (AFRALTI), a regional CISCO academy training center, based in Kenya, Nairobi, has created Zambia ICT College (Former ZAMTEL Training College) of Ndola, Zambia, as a local CISCO academy. Granting the academy status was AFRALTI director Mr. Vusumazi N Mkhumane and receiving the academy status on behalf of Zambia ICT College was Mr. Alvan Muhundika, College Principal. Others present at the granting of this status were the AFRALTI management team and Mr. Charles Lubobya from Zambia ICT College. This follows a Quality check at Zambia ICT College on the readiness to offer academy courses in accordance with the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) set by CISCO and AFRALTI done two months ago. CISCO Courses are computer professional programs aimed at imparting computer networking skills needed by many industries and organizations. Zambia ICT College becomes one of the few CISCO training institutions and examinations center.

What the local academy status means:

1.      Zambia ICT College is an official CISCO academy institution offering CISCO programs. School leavers, IT technician, electrical and telecommunications engineers and people with basic IT knowledge, etc. can now access training at Zambia ICT College.

2.      Zambia ICT College is a CISCO training and examination center.  Students training in CISCO courses outside Ndola can now enroll with the college for both training and examinations.

3.      Zambia ICT College, in liaison with AFRALTI, can administer CISCO certifications to its CISCO graduates.

4.      AFRALTI as a regional CISCO training center shall provide Zambia ICT college academy with all required training and support. Three months ago they trained eleven Zambia ICT college instructors who are now ready to run CISCO programs. Currently, they have just provided support in accessing of training equipment at 75% less the actual price, a move that has greatly benefited Zambia ICT College.

The creation and granting of local  academy status  took place on 07/02/2012 at AFRALTI premises in Nairobi, Kenya.
